This is a scripture that was resounding in me yesterday morning …. 2 Cor. 4 – especially verses 15-18 In verse 17 – our light momentary affliction is ever more and more abundantly preparing, producing and achieving for us an everlasting weight of glory (beyond all measure, excessively surpassing all comparisons and all calculations, a vast and transcendent glory and blessedness never to cease.
1. preparing (making fit, ready or qualified, to provide what is needed)
2. producing (to bring forth or bear, to create.
3. achieving – (to accomplish, to win or attain by effort or skill) v. 18 – Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief & fleeting) but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting!
amen & amen!!!
I woke up to this confirming word this morning! God is SO good & faithful to confirm His word!!!
September 14, 2012 SMALL STRAWS IN A SOFT WIND by MARSHA BURNS:
The recent disturbance in your life is nothing more than a hiccup in the overall scheme of things. Do not give it more power than it deserves by obsessing over details. You must realize that I am expanding your spiritual discernment, which will also manifest in your natural awareness. Put your trust in Me for the long haul, for this is momentary light affliction, says the Lord. Refuse to become distraught.
2 Corinthians 4:17 For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
